Modern Jive Freestyle at the Kenn Centre 1st Saturday
Held at the Kenn Centre, in Kennford the Modern Jive freestyle opens it's doors at 8pm and runs until midnight. The music selection is a full mix of styles and covers the complete tempo rango of Modern Jive. In the final hour the music will be slower and allow crossover with slower tempo dances related to Modern Jive. Ample free parking at the venue. There is no facility to buy drinks at this event. Water and Squash will be provided, got to keep hydrated! Dancers are welcome to bring their own alternative drinks with them, energy drinks or alcoholic drinks are totally fine. Normal price £9 but if you get there before 8:30pm you get in for the discounted price of £8, £4 with valid student card. Ample free parking at the venue. Prices quoted are for members, non-members are £1 more and are not elligible for discounts.
New Year Party at the Kenn Centre December 31st
After the success of the 2023 and 2024 New Year Parties it seemed clear we should do it again in 2025! Held at the Kenn Centre, in Kennford. This dress to impress New Year Party opens it's doors at 8pm and carriages should arrive at 1am. Tunes will be supplied by Nelson Rose. Savoury and Dessert Buffets will arrive during the evening. Water, Squash and some Soft Drinks will be provided along with a few little surprises.There is no facility to buy drinks at this event but everyone is welcome to bring any other drinks they would like with them (more affordable this way). Ample free parking at the venue. Entry by ticket only in advance. Tickets priced at £30 and are available at FloorPlay events, all classes and freestyles. You can also get them by phoning Nelson on 07966 289995 or 01404 850007 where payment is handled by secure payment link or cheques in the post, there is an additional charge of £1 to post tickets or they can be collected on the door. We take over the whole venue for the evening so we have a dance hall, a chill out room, buffet room and some seating areas. Having been to events ourselves where food runs out or you spend ages in cues for food etc we are careful to make sure we have plenty of everything including vegetarian and gluten free. As a result people don't feel the need to rush the buffet when it is called as it will be availble for the rest of the night, you can just browse it throughout the evening, leaving more time to dance and have fun.
