Who We Are.

FloorPlay Jive is run by Nelson and Karen Rose. We have been teaching modern jive since 1997 and have teaching experience going back much further. Our team of dedicated teachers, coaches and greeters, not to mention technical crew and front of house allow us to supply the very best in music, dancing and dance instruction. So much so that we have been hired to train other dance organisations' teachers and coaches and flown to other countries to teach classes and perform cabaret. With over 10 years experience teaching prestigious national events, in some cases to 4 figures class sizes, and providing dj services in numerous styles we have an excellent Modern Jive pedigree.

This Website

As you can no doubt tell this is the first phase of a new and improved website service to support our dance events, dancers and hirers alike. The essential content is all present but there are many desirable pages to add. The next batch of content to arrive will include an update on classes (a Torbay night should be back with us soon) and the calender, information on workshops and a gallery of dance pictures. Though it won't make the next update we are also motivated to provide a resource to dancers that will aid learning and promote good dance etiquette and technique
