Subject: Important Jive News.

Hello all.

I have just heard that one of our jiving family has passed away, Jan Matthews or Bassett as she was know before she married. I remember Jan from my early days of trying to dance, she was fun to dance with, friendly and had a unique way of dancing, almost coy. I have had people ask me to describe her and by just one simple move of tilting my head looking down my arm trying to mimic her unique shyness people knew who I meant. I can see her now with Dave, Brian and Anne, to name a few, dancing away trying to covert those around them to Jive.

Our thoughts go out to her family and close friends.

Jan you will be sadly missed.

The celebration of her life will be held at the Moose Hall, Bowden Hill in Crediton. Please note Crediton, at 2.30 on Thursday.

Now what else have I got to tell you.

Thursday is Chockalott Thursday, should be chocolate Thursday but there is a lot of chocolate so chockalott seems more apt.

Easter eggs to give away, chocolate everywhere, chocolate to find, prizes and of course the usual dancing.

Thursday will be the last day you can bring in Easter eggs for the kids hospitals and homes, so please bring them along.

Then on the following night it's the 10th birthday, allsorts of stuff is going on, one thing I can tell you is Jon Brett is coming down to Dj with Nelson. Jon Brett is a legend in the jive world and Dj's at all of the big events around the country.

There are other things going on but if I told you I would have to kill you and then there wouldn't be many people at the dance.

So come along and have some fun, kick up your heels and remember our friends.

Talk soon.

Malcolm.
