Venue Details
The evening kicks of at Exmouth Pavilion when the doors open at 7:30pm. With 30 minutes before the Beginners Class starts there is plenty of time to get a drink at the bar, find a seat and generally find you way around the venue getting to know a few people along the way.
Then at 8pm the Beginners Class starts and everybody gets to learn a routine of 4 of the 21 beginner moves, this takes about 40 to 45 minutes. During the class people move round every couple of minutes so you learn faster and get to meet the rest of the class. After the class a few minutes of music is played during which time some people dance, some practice and some just chat.
Then at about 9pm the second class starts, this is for intermediate dancers and again covers 4 moves and lasts about 40 to 45 minutes, whilst this class is going on there is additional help for beginners in the coaching sessions.
When the class and coaching have finished the music starts up again and people dance and socialise until 11pm. The music played covers most styles of music from the 1940's right through to the current chart. There are tunes to cater for everybody's taste and if there is a specific song you would like to hear you just have to ask.
Please Note: this venue is licensed. Please do not bring your own food or drink as it may be removed. Thank you.
